  • What type of assistance do you provide?
    We currently offer the following assistance to those released from a Washington County correctional facility in the last 90 days: Basic Needs (e.g., housing assistance, cell phone, clothing, food, bus passes) Resource Club meeting every Saturday - everyone is welcome Employment preparation and job placement assistance Computer and printer available for use in the office
  • How do I join the Resource Club?
    There is no formal process for participating. The Resource Club meets for about an hour starting at 10:00 am on Saturdays at the Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall (come to the entrance in the parking lot). Doors open at 9:30 am for networking.
  • How can I find resources in my local area?
    Our Re-Entry Specialists will provide you with important information to help you navigate through the complexities of re-entry. We also have tons of experience and knowledge on what is available in our community to help people who have a criminal background.   • Someone I know is being released soon. What can Gatekeepers do to help?
    Incarcerated individuals typically return to the community totally unprepared to thrive. While the community may in fact offer a variety of useful services, these are not necessarily organized or oriented to formerly incarcerated persons. Gatekeepers establishes relationships with individuals who are in a Washington County correctional facility before their release and collaborates with them throughout the transition process. We will help them navigate day-to-day choices in order that they can regain a footing to move forward and stay home for good.
